BLUE CAVE EXPERIENCE

The Blue Cave is located along the western coast of the Luštica Peninsula, near the settlements of Žanjice and Plavi Horizonti in Montenegro. The closest major town is Herceg Novi, while Tivat and Kotor also serve as convenient departure points for tours.

The cave itself can only be reached by boat, as it is tucked into a rugged stretch of shoreline with no road access. Nestled between cliffs and the shimmering waters of the Adriatic Sea, the Blue Cave is renowned for its mesmerizing blue glow. Sunlight enters through a narrow opening in the cave’s roof, reflecting off the white sandy seabed below. The sunlight creates a mesmerizing effect, turning the cave’s interior into an almost magical spectacle.

11:30h – Meet at Kotor’s small marina and embark on a journey to the Blue Cave.

Board the speedboat in Kotor and cruise along the Bay of Kotor, enjoying views of historic churches and aristocratic palaces.

Make a short stop in Perast to visit the island of Our Lady of the Rocks, then continue your journey through Verige, the bay’s narrowest point, to Tivat and explore the former submarine tunnels, a top-secret military site now open to visitors, with fascinating stories from Montenegro’s Cold War history.
